Opportunities for Service
The following committees are in need of committee members to assist the chairperson and other members with the committee’s mission:
12-Step Committee | The 12-Step Committee performs traditional 12-Step work. Our chairperson said it well, “We are in a new age of 12-stepping, where there are many more tools and teams available for collaboration. Connections to other committees could really strengthen outreach.” |
Public Information Committee | The Public Information Committee provides A.A. literature to local governmental and civic organizations, health care providers, schools and libraries, and legal and law enforcement agencies, and informs interested parties of what A.A. is and what it is not, while keeping in line with the 11th Tradition. |
Phone Volunteer Committee | The Phone Volunteer Committee is in need of volunteers to fill some positions. Thanks to technology, you can do it right from the comfort of your own home. Or wherever you may be! |
Institutions Committee | The Institutions Committee seeks volunteers to help take the A.A. message to Treatment, Detox, Correctional and Structured Environment facilities. The Committee meets on the 1st Sunday of every month, even on holidays. Orientation for new volunteers is at 4:30 p.m. followed by the General Meeting at 5:00. If you have 6 months or more of sobriety and want to help, come to the next meeting or email institutioncommittee@gmail.com. |
If you are interested in any of these positions, please call Intergroup at (561) 655-5700. And remember, Intergroup is always looking for volunteers as well to help with a variety of tasks.
